Greetings citizens of the interwebs,
I’ve stopped and started blogging numerous times over the years, on my quest to become a published writer, or at least earn some form of stable income from my writing. As the title of my blog suggests, I am a Christian who loves words, here are some of the things I also love:
- Lists.
- Movies.
- Music.
- Series.
- Books.
- Food (except pineapple, which by the way, doesn’t belong on pizza.)
- Chocolate.
I’ve self-published two books (please see links on side panel of my blog), after trying to go the traditional route unsuccessfully. So my aim with this blog is to:
- Sharpen my writing skills.
- Have an outlet for my thoughts about the world around me, as I try to make makes sense of the twists and turns on this journey called life, day by day.
- Hopefully learn new things and grow, and shed light to others with what I share and write, or at the very least, induce some much-needed laughter as we all collectively are on this journey through the spinning globe we call home day by day.
A little more about me:
- I am born in South Africa, and of Portuguese heritage.
- I eat what some people might classify as weird, like peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches, or beetroot on bread.
- I was married once upon a time, but got divorced, because I was unwillingly cast in a tiresome rom com where I became a jilted lover. Thankfully after too much alcohol, endless Sylvia Plath poetry, movies and a spiritual awakening of sorts where I was reintroduced to Jesus, I am over that very dark episode in my life.
- I managed to convince someone to marry me again, and this time the love is mutual.
- I promise to try and curb my urge to make lists.
- I will be posting from my heart and with my heart, so sometimes it will be messy, overly dramatic, sometimes funny, and probably on rare occasions, pretty good and worth repeated reads.
- I am a lover of good quotes, here are a few of my favourites (yes I am about to make a list within a list).
- “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” –Leonardo Da Vinci.
- “Be yourself, because everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde.
- “A day without laughter is a day wasted.” – Charlie Chaplin.
- I may sporadically share quotes from time to time.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, I hope you come visit often, and find value in whatever you take a chance on. If you do buy one of my books, thank you very much and do kindly leave a nice review if you liked my work.
Be safe in Christ, take care of yourselves and each other.
🩵
Marcio.
